How it all began
Steven and Deborah first met while working at an animal hospital in New York. After working together for almost a year, Steven changed jobs, and then they started dating in August 2014. On their first date, they went to see the world's most romantic movie (Planet of the Apes) and enjoyed some Thai food at Frankly Thai Restaurant.
In 2016, Deborah moved to Argentina to study, and she thought Steven was going to forget about her (which Steven thinks would have been impossible because Deborah is unforgettable… and also because he was taking care of her dog while she was away). Steven visited Deborah three times in Argentina, and then went with her to the Dominican Republic to meet her family. Deborah moved back to New York in 2017 and they got an apartment together.

A year later (in 2018), Deborah finally succeeded in convincing Steven to move to warmer weather. They relocated to Florida to embrace new experiences, and they have not looked back since!
You’ll find them traveling, looking for wildlife on nature walks, going to the beach, gardening (against Steven’s will), eating vegan food, visiting Sunday markets, kayaking, and exploring Florida.
In 2019 they bought their forever home (technically first home, but they’re never moving). They continue to do house projects (also against Steven’s will) and plant native plants in their backyard, which has been recognized as a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Foundation.
Steven and Deborah hope to continue their adventures and travel the world together, until they’re wrinkly and old.
